Genisys Group is proud to annouce that Anne Lucas is the new Program Manager for COMMON!
May 2, 2007 – Genisys Group is pleased to announce that Anne Lucas, a Customer Account Executive, has been appointed Program Manager of the new Leadership and Advocacy Program for COMMON. COMMON acts as the networking community, industry advocate and leading education provider for System I (AS/400, iSeries, and System i5) users in North America.
The goal of Program Manager for COMMON’s Leadership and Advocacy Program is to work alongside volunteers in developing an infrastructure to move COMMON forward as an IT community leader and to develop leaders among its membership. The program will be focusing vital areas: Leadership, Advocacy, and Volunteer Excellence.
Anne, a long time volunteer and Past President of COMMON, published an article titled, “Renewed Focus on Leadership and Advocacy”, in the April 2007 issues of COMMON Connect highlighting the programs goals.
Anne has been an active member of COMMON and the Birmingham, AL user group for over 25 years. When describing her experience, Anne says “COMMON and the Birmingham User Group (BMUG) have been a major influence in my professional and personal life. They provide an unusual ability for its members to gain expertise in the latest in technology and in professional development. The icing on top has been the friendships forged through the years with other members of COMMON, BMUG and IBM.”
