  • IBM announced the first of a new generation of Power6 Systems with a Power Virtual Machine (PowerVM) that runs AIX, i5/OS (now called i), and Linux.   Check out the IBM Power Systems Family.
  • IBM Power6 BladeCenters, announced earlier this year, will begin shipping on April 18, 2008.  These new blades will run AIX, i, and Linux operating systems as well.
